Wellness Day 
A jam-packed day full of informative presentations by various wellness professionals, workshops, outdoor yoga, and 15-minute massage therapy sessions. From learning how to manage anxiety, to setting SMART financial goals, there’s something for everyone to engage with and learn from.

Annual Softball tournament
Kobo employees can sign up for an all-day softball tournament, culminating in the Championship Game, where the winners get their names engraved on a trophy. Lunch is provided, and there’s a water-refill station to keep everyone hydrated. Those who aren’t playing can also go to the park and watch the games.

Pooch program
Who doesn’t love cute dogs at the office? Enough said. 

Kobo Tech University
During work hours, employees are encouraged to join our Kobo Tech University, which offers free classes by our most experienced Developers and Architects. You can learn about the essentials of coding, apps, and data, among other topics. 

Kobo Tech Ladies
Kobo Tech Ladies is a group that meets monthly with the purpose of women helping each other take a step up, personally and professionally. It’s a safe space where Kobo women of all ages and career levels become more self-aware, grow their confidence, learn new skills, and share their knowledge to help others.

Happy hours
Thirsty Thursdays occur once a week; a different department hosts this hourly event full of tasty snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic options are included!). We also have special bigger-scale happy hour events once a month.

Kobo Picnic
While we have our annual holiday party, the Kobo picnic is an opportunity for employees to bring their families to High Park for BBQ, ice cream, face painting, and other fun activities. It’s a chance to kick back, relax, and enjoy the summer sun.
