I applied online. I interviewed at Coinbase (United States)

    Interview

Initial interview with the hiring manager that took a while to schedule. They mentioned at the end of the call that we will be moving to next steps and then nothing happened for a week. After that, they sent a rejection email.

It's always really strange and a red flag when they treat their candidates in recruiting poorly; they seem really disorganized and candidate experience is not at the top of their minds.

There are definitely huge concerns regarding their attitude towards diversity as a whole at this company. I would be weary and stay away.

Company Updates

May 20, 2020
Today, Coinbase announced that the future of the company is remote-first. This means that going forward, anyone who wants to can continue to work from an office. That won’t change. What is changing is that (almost) any employee who prefers to work outside of an office can. For many employees, it will probably be a mix of both. The employee experience should be the same, whether you’re in an office one day a week, five days a week, or never. After a period of WFH, we think remote work (or part in-office and part remote) are options that many people, including the top talent we’re focused on hiring, will come to expect from employers.
Post-COVID-19, Coinbase will be a remote-first company
