the Woodsmere Holdings Corp. is one of Vancouver Island's leading developers of purpose-built rental housing. Together with our affiliated company, W&J Construction Ltd., we develop, design, construct, own, and manage premium multi-family apartment communities throughout British Columbia.
Unlike traditional development companies, Woodsmere controls every stage of the process—from land acquisition and development approvals through design, construction, long-term ownership, and property management. This integrated approach allows us to create high-quality rental communities while maintaining a strong focus on efficiency, durability, and long-term value.
As a long-term owner and operator of our developments, we are committed to continuous improvement in building design, construction methods, and operational performance. We actively seek opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, enhance durability, and deliver a better product with every project.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technologist to join our in-house development and design team.
This is a senior-level position for an individual who not only excels at building design and construction documentation but also possesses extensive experience supporting projects through construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating consultants, supporting field operations, resolving technical issues, and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and accurately.
This position will also offer a rare opportunity to participate in every phase of the development process, from land acquisition, feasibility analysis, site planning, and early design through construction and occupancy. The successful candidate will have the ability to influence project decisions from the earliest stages and help drive continuous improvements in design, constructability, efficiency, and long-term building performance.
Many senior technologists spend their careers inheriting projects after key design decisions have already been made. At Woodsmere, you will work directly with our development and construction teams to help shape projects from inception through completion.
