As a candidate who recently went through the hiring process with iFOLIO, I feel compelled to share my experience as it fell far short of my expectations and left me deeply disappointed.
My journey with iFOLIO started with two interviews, one virtual and one in person. Throughout these interactions, I felt optimistic about the prospect of joining their team, and I even took the initiative to express my gratitude by sending a thank-you email after the interview concluded.
However, my enthusiasm quickly turned to frustration when I received a job offer with an extremely tight deadline – three days to respond and just seven days until the proposed start date. Recognizing the need for negotiation, I promptly replied to the CEO, politely requesting a one-week extension on the start date to accommodate my current commitments.
What followed was a series of disappointments and unprofessional behavior on the part of iFOLIO. Despite my attempts to communicate and negotiate, I was met with silence from the CEO for days on end. After multiple follow-up emails and even a phone call, I finally received a response from the director promising to escalate the matter to the CEO.
However, the communication breakdown persisted, and it wasn't until five days later – well beyond the initial deadline – that I received a curt email informing me that they had decided to move forward with other candidates. This abrupt rejection left me bewildered, especially considering that I had already been extended an offer.
To add insult to injury, when I sought clarification on the reasons for rescinding the offer, I was met with further silence and no explanation whatsoever.
This entire experience with iFOLIO was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful of my time and effort invested in the application process. Had I not been cautious enough to refrain from resigning from my current position, I would have found myself in a precarious situation due to iFOLIO's lack of transparency and disregard for proper communication protocols.
In conclusion, I feel compelled to caution prospective candidates about the potential pitfalls of engaging with iFOLIO based on my personal experience. It is my sincere hope that this feedback will prompt iFOLIO to reflect on their hiring practices and strive for greater professionalism and integrity in their interactions with candidates.
