I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at eBay (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2012
Interview
3 rounds of interviews. 1:1 interviews with Head, Directors from 3 departments.
Described the skills required.
Asked about structural and behavioural questions.
Questions ranged from how would you improve eBay. It was important to know the business and how we can make a difference.
Overall experience of this interview was good. The change required me to think from business end.
The communication appeared unprofessional and unfocused, and it did not reflect the kind of environment where I would want to invest my time or expertise. the people there did not seem friendly
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at eBay (London, England) in Apr 2025
Interview
The interview process was fairly straightforward. Initial call with a recruiter, followed by an interview with the hiring manager and then 3 additional hour interviews with leadership. There was definitely some confusion between the interview scheduler and one or two of the interviewers. No crazy curveball questions. Took a few weeks to hear back on the final answer and I had to follow up quite a few times asking for the decision which was frustrating.
