I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at athenahealth (Chennai) in Aug 2013
Interview
Got a call through a consultancy on behalf of athena. The interview process was of 4 rounds atleast as per my experience. First was a aptitude written test, followed by a computer based programming test. This was crazy considering they don't provide any IDE to code and ask to write the code in a web based interface. Anyways continuing with the process, then followed a F2F technical round on Java, J2EE technologies. Then there was a managerial round and finally a HR round. The crazy part was I went through all the rounds and received successful feedback but finally they did not provide me with an offer. No reason stated.

Question 1
The computer based programming test was the most difficult part. It is very tough to code the 3 questions asked within the 1 hr time provided without using an IDE.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at athenahealth (Bengaluru) in Oct 2017
Interview
Had 3 F2F rounds, all were good. They stressed on data structures, programming skills , sql query knowledge and system design. I was expecting a very positive response and HR told they are looking for a senior guy and asked me to leave. I don't understand their requirements , as I am having 8+ years of experience hands on coding and designing systems from scratch.
Suggestion/complaint to HR : Please go through the candidates resume at least once before shortlisting and calling him for an interview. I was confused when I was rejected . Their team feels like having 8+ years of experience is not fit for senior role. If this is the expectation why would some one shortlist and call the candidate. Pathetic experience and I never suggest this company to anyone and ending up with this kind of interview experience. Please work on your recruitment process and also provide reasonable feedback to the candidate. Just giving 1 sentence feedback is not the right way since candidate is also spending half day in the interview process and one more Bangalore traffic day added to life.
