      Finance Interview

      Sep 17, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Xperi

      Interview

Very unprofessionally handled and in my opinion disrespectful. I had a video call with the company recruiter, very friendly call, went well. Then interviewed with the hiring manager, good call, went well. He asked me to interview with his team, basically the person I would replace and all the direct reports for the position. During the interview I could tell the team was over-worked and very jaded (due to the acquisition integration). Many red flags on the situation the new hire would walk into---regardless, while I had likely made up my mind, the recruiter who till now would immediately reply to me, now ghosts me. Of course, likely an indication that the interview might not have gone well from the company's side too---but common courtesy would mean a return call or even email to indicate the end of the process. To me, just a validation of the red flags and cultural issues that popped out during the interview. But very unprofessional and just disrespectful.
