I was reached out to by a recruiter to apply, after online application process I had a phone interview with the recruiter (the application said really looking for someone to relocate, but they couldn't answer what store this job might be for just where the training would be held )
, after phone interview they set me up for a call with two local store managers, one didn't show up so she rescheduled and I had to do another interview with only same day notice after I completed the first one (again neither manager could answer where this job was for and werent given much information about me before hand so i had run through everything again, with very little answers to any of my questions) Also very unprofessional to not respect my time and expect I can just take a call on very little notice
Then they set up a panel interview , they asked fairly standard management questions . Apparently this was an accelerated program so they kept worrying about my strategy for learning , (my background is in coaching and education related retail management roles, this was very confusing as to why they kept asking me if I was sure I would be ready after i explained my background again and again )
They couldn't answer how whole foods committed to their "core value" of work life balance except, "we send people home when they're tired" . They really hounded down before the interview that core values were something I would need to bring up often , maybe your panel team should be better prepared if the expectation for my understanding is so high
the whole process took a month of waiting around, and by 3pm the same day they said they chose another candidate but that i would be a good fit for other positions
huge waste of my time and I will not be applying for whole foods as a company in the future in any regard
