I went overboard and wrote a cover letter and spiffied up my resume for this entry-level position. I visited the store after submitting the application and asked to speak with a manager of the department to tell them I'd applied (put my face to the name) and to show my interest. Pretty sure that guaranteed me an interview.

I walked in and asked about my interview then they sent two employees. Both of them asked me 2 questions, then answered my question about the orientation process before ending the interview.

Completed the online assessment and then within two weeks I received a phone call to set up a in person interview. In person was straight forward, one in person interview that followed with a phone call that offered the job.
