Panel interview with minimum of 4 people all in different level of roles asking open ended questions varying from situational scenarios to character building questions. Open statement time is given and closing statement, approximately 30-45 minute interview process.

Interview
I was hired through a job fair for a new store that was opening, I submitted an online application and received an email invitation to the job fair. I had 4 years of experience in the department I applied for 2 of those years being in a supervisor role, so the questions I was asked were to judge general department experience and knowledge as well as leadership situational questions.
Was invited to apply by Produce Team Leader who knew me from working together at a different store. Interviewed the Team Leader and one other employee, from the Floral Department. Was offered the job over the phone, and pay negotiations took place then.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Whole Foods Market (Baltimore, MD)
Interview
I attended a cattle call. The local WF needed a lot of warm bodies going into the holiday season. About 50 candidates attended and met with 10 members of Store Leadership. They randomly interviewed people "speed dating" style. I got the 2 Store Managers. I was the only prospect who showed up in a suit and tie. I was aware of the company vision and mission statement and core values. I was familiar with the store and had high level customer service experience. I was already employed part time at a very high end restaurant. WF offered me an 8.00 per hour full time position on the spot. As the years continued I pursued about 3 different promotions. I prepared for all of them. Talked with people who already had the position. They told me exactly what to say and what issues to address. I was prepared with an action plan and ideas for increasing sales and introducing innovative techniques and work strategies. I always got the promotion.
