Applied via company website for a specific position after being referred by a current employee who is a professional association colleague. Was contacted via email to set-up a phone interview on a particular day about 10 days after application. Phone interview was with both the hiring manager and one of their employees.

About 30 emails, phone calls, plus a sudden cancellation, with different recruitment coordinators located in different continents to finally schedule the interview - in a hotel lobby of all places which was not convenient because we had to whisper. When the offer fell through none of those coordinators could offer any interview feedback.
