      Business Development Manager Interview

      Dec 29, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Washington, DC
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Western Union (Washington, DC) in Sep 2017

      Interview

The Hiring manager postponed the phone interview twice last moments without excuse nor apology. The questions were not related to the position duties as he was more concern who do I know in the company and then he seemed busy with other things during the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Who do I know in the company or if I was referred by someone, asked about my career details that are not related to the position. Asked if had related experience to the job . Not concern about job related details nor he reviewed or read my CV

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Western Union (London, England) in Jan 2021

      Interview

Long and underwhelming. Jumped through a lot of hoops and had to chase the internal recruiter several times after the final interview to be told I didn't get the job. Company process was blamed on delays.

Slow, uninspiring and way too many hoops to jump through. 3 interviews AND a presentation? I had to chase the talent lead to find out if I'd been successful to which after 2 weeks of chasing he said 'no you haven't got the job' - he just never told me and don't think he was ever indenting to.
