Interview process was pretty straightforward. It was a 30 minute phone interview, an in person interview and an exam. The exam was pretty embarrassing on their part it was an aptitude exam around language, math and recognition skills. It made 0 sense for the position and was hard to take seriously since they have you take it early in the process before you even know if the position is a good fit.
The compensation package wasn’t anywhere near competitive. The lack of sufficient vacation time and variable comp was surprising. They screen you based on your minimum base comp but honestly having seen the benefits I would just add $30,000 to $40,000 to your first reaction. Ultimately I think we were off by about $70,000 between what they wanted for total comp on the position and what would meet the market.
