A friend of mine referred me to a Talent Acquisition role and I immediately applied. I felt great about the opportunity, as I also have previous experience recruiting in the P&C space. I had a call with a hiring leader, and while I felt good with how I presented myself, the hiring leader was pretty unprofessional at the end, and almost shamed me about some of my job moves. Some of the job changes were due to layoff or toxic work environment, and it left me feeling defeated. This is not how I anticipated the call would go, especially being a referral of one of their current employees. I think this is unfortunate to the brand, as I had wanted to work for West Bend for some time, but due to the experience, I would never consider joining this organization.
