I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Apr 2016
Interview
It was a very quick and efficient procedure. However the final interview was rushed, the guy was really impatient. He asked : "What's the hardest problem you encountered and how did you solve it ?" As I started to answer, he interrupted me saying: "We're running out of time, just give me the gist of it". I ended up giving a vague and generic answer which defeated the purpose of the question.
Then, we moved on to the programming challenge, It was easy enough, but still needed some thinking. As I started to flesh out the solution, I was interrupted several times, even telling me: He's about to be kicked out of the conference room, please go faster (that basically broke my train of thought). About 10 minutes in, he took over and did most of the talking, not letting me answer my own way. That was kind of unprofessional.
Interviewing with wayfair was pretty straightforward overall, but this particular interviewer expected canned answers rather than figuring out my problem solving skills.
