I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company
Interview
A recruiter from Florida contacted me for an initial phone interview that lasted 20 minutes. At the end of the call, she invited me to come in to the office (I live in Southern California, so I went to the Anaheim office) to interview with the Advance Sales Associate manager. She asked me what I knew about Disney Vacation Club, what I knew about the role, basic questions about myself, strengths/weaknesses/etc. The manager also asked me to describe a difficult situation I went through and how I overcame it. What was nice was that she was very transparent about the pros/cons of being an associate. Easy job in a sense, but you face the elements: heat/cold/rain/and how it can sometimes be a lonely position, as you're by yourself a lot of the times at the kiosk. She then asked me if I was still interested. Clearly I said yes.
I applied online. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Orlando, FL)
Interview
You receive a call from the recruiter first and, if you pass the phone interview they schedule you right away to come interview with their Sales Managers in Orlando. Be ready to get a flight and hotel. They don't wait.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Walt Disney Company (Anaheim, CA) in May 2015
Interview
went through a series of 4 interviews, over the web, on the phone, and in person, after 2 months of continuing the process, and having a great in person interview I never heard anything back, no letter no phone call, nothing. I would have thought that a company that prides itself on the family nature of it's cast members would be a little more thoughtful and professional.
