I applied in-person. I interviewed at Walmart in Feb 2009
Interview
After waiting in line for about an hour we were asked to sit and watch a video about the Company and their culture. Then we were called by name to an interviewer who asked standard questions including why we wanted to work for the company, what position we were qualified for and what we could bring to the table. We were told we would be called back if we were chosen to work for WalMart. Two days later I was called and asked about my consideration to be the footwear department manager. I accepted.

Question 1
The most unexpected question was: If you were an animal what would you be?
The process was very easy. Asked basic questions. I’m not sure if they pay much attention to your scheduling needs, however. Just answer honestly, and you will be fine. If you do have any scheduling issues, be sure to tell them so they can adjust your schedule if it suits their needs.
Group interview, with 3 other candidates and 2 interviewers.
Interviewers were friendly, asked behavioral questions, availability and so on.
Also asked about the aspirations and why choosing this company. Also had to describe scenarios and how you handle them.
