The good part is the interview was easy, you just need to know some decent things about networking and you'll be fine. Theres one or two initial interviews that are 30-60 minutes. Then a final interview thats technical and it features a couple different members of the team, which lasts an hour or more.
The bad part is they tried to mislead me about the nature of the job and the system. They advertised this as a Cloud Security internship in the name and the description, but that's because Verkada sells physical building security devices managed by the cloud. They've since renamed the position, but its something to look out for, they may try to upsell the position.

Question 1
They asked pretty basic questions like what is X service, what does it do, etc. For the practical they asked how I would diagnose what the issue is with a device that can't be reached from the internet.
I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Verkada (San Mateo, CA) in Jan 2025
Interview
Recruiter was pushy asked to set up multiple times. Meeting with recruiter, asked technical questions but didn’t understand.
Meeting hiring manager, seemed like he was in a hurry. Didn’t ask me any questions. It was just a waste of time for both of us. First thing out of their mouth was I’m busy, dint ask anything about resume. This happened awhile back, but just got around to write this.
