      Field Technician Interview

      Nov 3, 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Verizon

      Interview

Interviewed with the commonly used S.T.A.R. format (Situation, Task, Action, Results). If you understand this process, and can provide situation specific details from your past job experience, you will do well. There is no room for generalizations, and making this mistake will torpedo the interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult co-worker. How did you deal with that?

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Verizon in Jul 2016

      Interview

First there is an online test and then a face to face interview. You are given customer service scenarios and must tell how you'd handle them. I met with two Verizon reps and they ran me through five different scenarios. It was a casual environment overall. They took notes while I spoke. On some of my answers, they'd ask additional questions which I would then expand upon.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

How would you handle a frustrated customer? How would you help a customer who is not understanding the technology you just installed for them... even after you have explained things multiple times? Most difficult customer you ever dealt with in a previous job?
