I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VIPKid (New York, NY) in Dec 2016
Interview
I applied online and immediately received an interview invitation. The interviewer I had was extremely rude from the beginning. She was angry that I didn't have a headset but I told her I could get headphones, which I did. (I'm not going to buy a headset unless I got the job) She also didn't seem to understand anything that I was saying. She didn't ask me any questions about my background and teaching experience. I actually have a degree in teaching! At the end of the interview, she didn't provide any feedback and just said I would be getting an email. I have a friend who is already a teacher for VIPKID and she said her interviewer was really nice, asked her a lot of questions and offered her the job on the spot. However, I must have had the "luck" of getting an interviewer that was having a bad day or something. Either way, it was a completely negative experience. Feedback would have been nice and some interest from the interviewer about me and my background would have been nice too.

Application
I interviewed at VIPKid (London, England)
Interview
Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
Very lenghthy interview process, but the interviewers were nice and helpful. There were several steps to the process and it was pretty involved. I had to prepare a lesson beforehand
It was easy an straightforward. 1 interview and 2 mock classes to pass. They offer a contract for a year with option to renew after 1st contract is over. Overall the process last for about 2 weeks from the time you apply unless you are waitlisted.
