Other Maintenance Technician interview reviews for United Airlines
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at United Airlines (Houston, TX) in Jul 2022
Interview
I have 25 plus years of experience as an aircraft mechanic I meet all there requirements I was offered a position where I wanted to go but they will not budge on starting pay of just over 29$ an hour for a line mechanic one dollar less for hanger mechanic.
I would have take the position for sure but in there teamster contract they have to raise the pay of everyone to the pay of new hires that are paid more so maybe that’s why they can’t negotiate.
They can not compete with other airlines or most any A and P jobs on starting pay but if you are new to the industry it would be a great opportunity to get in you will have great chance of being hired as they are hiring a lot of people.
Practice hand safety wire Technique that will help the as the hands on does not have safety wire pliers and it will be a breeze

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at United Airlines in Mar 2016
Interview
The interview process was fine but sometimes you get a vibe that the position probably had filled by a current employee. The staff was very nice throughout the process. I may have been boring but I believe I wasn't the person they wanted from the beginning.
