I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at United Airlines (Newark, NJ) in Jun 2015
Interview
I applied online and received a video interview invitation about a day after. I completed the video interview and received an invitation for a F2F interview the next week. There wasn't much time to ask off for work so I had to quickly get the shift covered. I was flown to Newark for free, however I had to pay for my hotel stay and cab fees. Newark is dirty. The F2F interview had about twenty people. Some people were quietly waiting for instructions and a few girls were obnoxiously cutting in random comments. The feel was average, never felt fully comfortable. The woman interviewing me didn't seem to be listening to my responses. The main con was when they explained the salaries are so low that many new flight attendants share hotel rooms at their base location and just sleep in there with five other people. No thank you.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening.
Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test.
Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
