      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Unilever (Rotterdam) in Sep 2015

      Interview

Marketing Internship in the European HQ in the Netherlands. I applied through their online platform and 1 week later got an invite to an online interview where I had to pre-record my answers (like skype but without anyone at the other end). This is a pre-screen done by HR, the hiring manager does not actually see it. A few days later got a call from the recruiter with some feedback and inviting me to an actual skype interview with the hiring manager). Interview was quite informal, hiring manager was friendly and gave good feedback even at the end of the interview. Total time from application to offer was only 20 days. However most internships in the HQ go through a programme called UIIP for which the timings might be longer as there are only 2 intakes (September & March) Questions are mostly behaviour based (research the Unilever Standards of Leadership for more info). Make sure to answer giving very concrete examples of situations you have solved and using the STAR structure (situation, task, action, results). Of course many of the examples you'll have were not your own merit, but try to frame them in a way that you show your personal contribution, not just what the team achieved. Also make sure to have convincing reasons why you want to work at Unilever and why not at some other competitors (P&G, Nestle...).

      Interview

It was very nice. Took one hour and half. Didn't get the offer but got a second interview instead. The process consisted of classic behavioral questions and a report on the case they give. You beforehand.
