      Summer League Interview

      Mar 26, 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Baltimore, MD
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Under Armour (Baltimore, MD) in Jan 2018

      Interview

First round is an online interview where you record yourself answering prerecorded questions. Second round is a Skype -like interview with a member of the team you are being considered for. Under Armour says that you are still in the running until they tell you otherwise, but it seems as if that is not true. I saw on here that they cut down the applicants from 18,000 to 500 for the second round of interviews, but some how applicants who haven't received a second interview still think they are "in the running" when they clearly aren't. Under Armour needs to do a better job of: 1. narrowing down the applicants earlier in the application process instead of letting most people through to the HireVu interview 2. Actually telling applicants right away when they are out of the running for the internship I haven't heard of anyone who has been rejected yet, and it is obvious that not everyone is still in the running. It is extremely unprofessional to keep people waiting on a response till April 15th when they know they aren't going to make it to the second interview, let alone receive an offer. It is clear Under Armour is just keeping a pool of applicants around in case their first, second, or third round of offers are not accepted. Overall I am very disappointed in Under Armour's hiring process for Summer interns, and it is clear there is a lot of room for improvement. Hopefully they get some new employees on their campus recruiting team this summer who can reimagine their hiring process. It is clear that they need help.

Thanks for the feedback and we're sorry to hear you're disappointed with the process. We understand that candidates would like feedback in a more immediate fashion but is takes time to review and consider so many outstanding applicants. That said, we hear you. We know there is room for improvement and strive to think of new ways to streamline the process and deliver feedback as fast as possible.
