I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Pleasant Prairie, WI) in Jul 2020
Interview
Took several situational/behavioral assessments prior to interview. Was then emailed and brought in to interview. First interview apparently went well and I received a second interview request VERY shortly thereafter. Before the second interview, another round of assessments was sent to me. (Typing speed, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access test) I prepared very hard each night and studied for days prior to the assessment/second interview in order to feel competent and confident. The second interview noticeably did not go as well as the first. The manager seemed uninterested and looked like he could care less from the start. It was at this moment I felt depressed and understood they only care about numbers here. I tried to be friendly and honest and present myself professionally, but they did not seem impressed. I graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA in advanced courses and got my BS of Finance in 2018 with a 3.7 GPA but apparently they hire ONLY the very best. So close to being a 4.0 GPA darn...I was not given the chance to prove myself. I'm also a minority so they probably don't prefer that (staff was comprised of mostly white individuals, not to mention corporate loves Trump and proudly endorses him all over their website). They told me my test results were great (55 wpm typing speed and good knowledge in Microsoft Office) but I haven't heard from them since. They also lied about when they would reach out and get back to me (1-2 weeks maximum). They never did...Not a single email, voicemail, or even a text. When the managers lie, you know the place is doomed and I would happily provide proof (Or no proof that is! As I received nothing)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself?
Why did you leave your current or previous role?
Why do you want to work here?
Can you give me examples or testimonies to support your credentials/character?
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10 years?
I applied in-person. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Uline (Waukegan, IL)
Interview
I was scheduled for a 11am interview. They had me come in at 1040am to complete two assessments which I did. After the assessment, I was told to wait for my recruiter. Recruiter did not arrive till 1130 and no apologies or anything to let me know why it took 30mins to come get me. No update from anyone from my waiting time. During the initial interview , recruiter seemed to rush through my resume and would cut me off during answering and asking questions. After the interview, he told me to wait 5-10business days to hear back to another interview with hiring manager. It took 2weeks to hear back only to be told that they will no longer proceed with my application. The overall process was unprofessional and rushed!
