      Human Resources Coordinator Interview

      Aug 23, 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Toronto, ON
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Uline (Toronto, ON)

      Interview

I got a phone call from someone in HR asking me to come in for a 30 minute interview that would include 2 numbers assessments. I also had to complete a writing test online beforehand which was pretty simple. The woman who called me was quite rude when I was trying to determine a time that was convenient for both me and the interviewer, she actually made it very difficult for me and gave me very limited options knowing that I am currently working. At the actual interview the first thing I did was complete two numbers tests which was matching sequences of numbers, ie. 13, 10, 6, 1 etc and one where they would list two sets of numbers and you would have to indicate if the numbers were the same or different. For example, 2924 2924 and 2942 2924. You would have to spot where there are differences. My complaint about this was that the woman testing me told me I had 4 minutes per test and I would be timed. I kept my phone beside me to keep time and she stopped both of my tests after 3 minutes so I didn't finish as much as I should have been able to. I didn't say anything to her because I didn't want it to ruin my chances during the interview. After 3 minutes the woman literally ran into the testing room and grabbed the papers out of my hands, it was very strange. The man who actually interviewed me was nice and the interview questions weren't very hard. They were your typical questions. I was told at the end that there is usually 2-3 interviews for this position plus an additional personality test that is completed online. After one week from the interview I got an email saying I didn't get the position. I thought the interview went really well, I just hope it wasn't because of the scores on the testing that they did that I didn't get the required amount of time for. Ps. For the writing test they give you a paragraph with information about Uline's history and you have to summarize it briefly with the main points (condense the information).

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I interviewed at Uline (Ontario, CA)

      Interview

The process began with two on-site assessments, which were straightforward and not overly challenging. After that, I had an interview that felt relaxed and conversational. The interviewer was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience comfortable. Overall, the entire process was smooth, efficient, and moved along fairly quickly.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Uline in Oct 2025

      Interview

Applied online. Shortly after, got invited to an interview. What they don't tell you before inviting you to an interview is that you have to do 4 assessments online, and 2 in person the day of the interview, before the interview. So you basically get invited to an interview and have to spend time doing their assessments all week. When you arrive at the interview it's like a tv show audition, the people interviewing for the role are there at the same time, and sit and do the pre-interview assessment with you. The entire HR team that I saw there was white; take that as you may. This interview process is degrading, improperly managed, not worth it, and you're better off applying anywhere else. By the way, if after the 6 assessments and wasting your time to go in person to do an interview, you manage to get a second interview, it will also be in person. So prepare to waste 2 hours on assessments, and back and forth driving money with 0 compensation for a company that treats you like an actress with only white casting directors. And after everything, all the invested time, they send you an automated email to reject you, not even the decency to have a real person contact you. Scum of the earth doesn't begin to describe this company.

      Question 1

      - Tell me about your past experiences in relation to the role - Do you have reliable transportation to go in to work in the office 5 days per week?

      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Uline

      Interview

The interview process was over complicated and included timed tests on site. That's fine and all, except that the interviewer admitted to regularly interviewing hundreds of applicants all the time just to sometimes hire one person. ULINE is very particular about their employees, also there's a dress code.
