      Policy Issuer Interview

      Apr 9, 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at USLI

      Interview

First was a phone interview where they ask you to describe yourself and your experience. Then they will call you to set up a in person interview. There was three different interviews, with a different person each time. For the most part they made sure to make the interview feel like a conversation, not just answering their rapid fire questions. Then you take a test after the interviews that is basically a skills test focused on math, reading, and logic. They said the next step would be anther interview with a personality test. The in person interview is pretty long, can be about a 3 hour experience.

      Application

      Interview

Believe the reviews on the company from current and former employees. This is a cult like company, I had a friend on worked for the company and she said the same as others in the reviews even down to the drinking the kool aid phrase. My friend gave me the advice for the interview of seem like you are a leader but also make it known your just as much a follower. I still applied because I was genuinely interested in the position & I have 2 years of insurance experience. I had a good interview experience, although I did not get the job. Please be mindful you’ll go through an extensive yet easy process (it’s easy for a reason). Yes there is no HR (my friend confirmed & going through the interviews you’ll notice that as well). Phone interview, followed by SAT like test, three separate 30 min interviews with a total of 4 different people (team leads). 2nd/final round is an hour long personality test followed by 2 separate interviews with a total of 3 higher up’s. Personality test has to be the dumbest test you’ll ever take, especially the image and math parts. Interview questions aren’t hard at all, 2 or 3 skill questions throughout the whole process (major red flag). I was asked the same 2/3 questions in each interview to be honest. They are more so looking to gauge your interest and personality. Everyone is nice (or at least seemed nice) but believe the interview & employee reviews. The personality test has the final say so if you’re selected for the job (no matter how interested you are in the position, experience, or if they really seem to like you) & as one of the employees said in the reviews they’ve missed out on a lot of great talent based on that.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at USLI (Wayne, PA) in May 2017

      Interview

I had an initial phone screening. I was invited for an in-person interview. I met with 4 people and took a test. The test included basic math, grammar, spelling, and editing questions. I was then called and invited for a second round of interviews. I met with 2 people during this round. I also took a Caliper test, which is a personality test.
