Absolutely bizarre. They emailed me for an in-person interview with available times. I responded, and they ghosted. A week later, the same recruiter calls and asks for a virtual interview. She had no record of the email despite being the same person.
It ended up being a virtual interview with the operations team for an entry-level role. They spent 20 minutes discussing the role/training and didn't ask me any questions about my experience. They said I don't need any experience or knowledge about insurance and sureties, and that most employees don't even know what they are. They asked me what I knew about the company. I said they offer customized insurance policies and sureties for niche businesses. They visibly cringed and ended the interview. I looked at their website again in case I got something wrong, and in big banner letters it said, "We offer tailor-made insurance and sureties." For niche businesses. Still confused about what they expected to hear...
