Was contacted by HR to set up a 15-20 minute prescreen meeting to discuss the role. The first time that was available was two weeks out. When I met with the HR person she said they had already started the interview process with other people. What a terrible experience for a candidate to call them and say that they want to meet with you, only to meet with you and tell you that they already started the process.
I assume that this is a product of HR being tasked to screen a certain number of candidates and they are just arbitrarily calling people with no intention of an interview. If they accidentally do this to a person from a protected class and that person wanted to make an issue of this practice they could easily find themselves in a lawsuit.
Really provides insight into their hiring practice and a flawed HR team.
