      Linux Engineer Interview

      Jul 16, 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boca Raton, FL
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TransUnion (Boca Raton, FL) in Jun 2015

      Interview

Had a phone screening with an internal recruiter. Received a call for a follow up interview with the hiring manager and their team. After the first on-site interview, was called in for another interview with a higher level manager for a non-technical interview. During the second on-site interview was asked by the high level manager to sit with a manager from another department of which was not responsible for the position I had applied for. Received an offer, but the recruiter was curt when a counter offer was made. The company chose to ignore the counter offer and allow it to expire rather than respond directly.
