I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Toyota North America (Torrance, CA) in Jan 2015
Interview
Process took approximately four months from start to finish. Initially was reached out to by a recruiter, had initial phone screen, then a second phone interview, then a final interview. The process was actually quite lengthly, from the original time I was reached out to for the position, to the times in between. I was first approached about the position late 2014, and I didn't complete the final interview until this year. Received an offer letter very shortly after the final in person interview. Note: They DO administer pre-employment drug tests.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions were very detailed, examples of projects, went through every single position on my resume, and was asked how it related to the position. Interviewer was very knowledgable and candid about what the position entailed, as well as what the organizational structure was going to be like.
Straightforward and low-stress behavioral interview. Interviewers were knowledgeable, kind, and seemed to love to work at Toyota. There was an initial 1-way video interview, which was awkward, followed by a 2 person panel interview which was much more standard and pleasant. I would recommend that anyone interested in a job at Toyota NA to apply.
