      Product Manager Interview

      Oct 20, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TimelyCare in Oct 2025

      Interview

For my initial interview, I scheduled 30 min screener basically within 48 business hours of applying. All communication was super prompt, clear, detailed, and friendly. The first call went well; I basically was just asked to talk about my product experience, and they told me a bunch about the company and the direction the product team was heading in. Then I was asked to a second interview within that next week. That call also seemed to go well. I liked everyone I spoke to, but I ultimately just didn't have enough experience for the role. I honestly feel like this was the best hiring process I've been a part of–everyone was so communicative and nice. I told them as much and really wish every company ran their hiring like this. That said, it would've been maybe 5 rounds of interviews total, so just mentally prepare for that. But they're really up front about the commitment.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at TimelyCare (Dallas, TX) in Jan 2024

      Interview

Overall the process took 1.5 months for 3 rounds. It started off good and then got progressively worse. The first two rounds went well and both the recruiter and hiring manager seemed thrilled with my experience. Then came the case study. Two scenarios were described that were product management 101 level. They were easy but the ask was to create a presentation for both scenarios, totaling 6-10 slides and presenting for 30 minutes. They said it shouldn’t take more than an hour to prepare…clearly they’ve never put together a presentation before. It took me 6 hours end to end. I presented to 7 people which was excessive. The 2 PMs on the call were not friendly and didn’t seem like they wanted to be there, which was a big red flag. A few days later I got an email from the recruiter saying that they “decided to close the position as we are discussing internal business needs and structure of the team.” I couldn’t believe they wasted so much of my time and asked me to do a free assignment days before and they were on the fence about if they should even fill the role! What a mess of a company. It also shows signs of a potential layoff or restructuring since they clearly are hurting financially. This was a role that was vacant so to not fill it isn’t a good financial indicator. Needless to say, don’t make the same mistake I did and let TimelyCare waste your time. 1. 30 min recruiter zoom interview 2. 30 min zoom interview with VP of Product (hiring manager) 3. 1 hr Panel case study presentation
