There was a call with a recruiter followed by a video chat with two team members, and finally an onsite interview including a presentation and exercise. While initial feedback was positive, the outcome was ultimately not to move forward. On its own that wouldn't be a negative experience, but unfortunately due to either jumping the gun or other miscommunication, an incorrect expectation was set around the outcome by one of the recruiters. As a result I would have to rate the experience overall as negative. Aside from that misstep (and it was a doozy), everyone was very pleasant and friendly.
