I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thrivent
Interview
They make you start with an interview with the regional director and then have you take a test to determine if you are a good fit. It rates your personality and probability of success in the industry. After that they make you call 10 people and just ask them their opinion of you starting this position. You then have to create a prospect list of over 200 names that you would call for business and interview with some of the support staff. After that they do a final interview with you, the regional director and VP. If you are a decent person you will be offered the position. It's not a hard process but it is a bit more intense than other companies I've seen.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Thrivent (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Multiple round interviews. Initially met with the marketing directors, then came on-site for live interviews. Final interviews were over the phone. Nothing technical, more mindset focused, making sure you are a right fit for the team.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Can you fill out your top 300 contacts in a business planning workbook?
It was pretty casual, asked me questions more about personality than technical skills. The process took around four interviews, where I met with a singular guy at first and then with a team.
Very easy going process that was made easier by great people. They are really testing to see how good your soft skills are and your ability to communicate with people.
