      Director of Marketing Interview

      Apr 29, 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters in Apr 2025

      Interview

Applied online and took about a month for a reply. Got an interview. Great. Moved to next round with Sr Director who was warm but professional. Last round with VP. Not professional. Treated the interview like I was wasting her time. Internal recruiter reached out and said he would follow up with next steps. He never did. I emailed him a week later to follow up. Never heard from him again. Completely unprofessional and frankly quite disappointing considering we are all adults in the professional world. Everyone is busy. But to ghost a candidate...makes you wonder what it's like to actually work there. The process is completely broken.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Interview with Sr Director was great. She asked me things related to the role etc. Interview with the VP was another story. She power tripped the entire time and asked questions showed she didn't read my resume at all. Showed zero interest in the role or me. Expressionless the entire time. I may have dodged a bullet honestly.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Eagan, MN)

      Interview

Applied online. Connected with the recruiter to let him know I applied. Got internal "champions." 10+ interviews plus several hours of prep time later was informed by the hiring manager that none of the candidates were going forward and the job was being reposted. No knock against my skills or background. The hiring manager was new and still working through the type of candidate she needed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Tell me about a segment experience where you've analyzed data and refined strategies iteratively. Tell me about a time when you successfully collaborated with [departments/roles]. What made the collaboration successful? Is there anything you'd do differently next time? Describe what you're doing in your current role and the results of the most effective project/campaign you worked on. What active role did you play in its success? How do you manage stress at work?

      Marketing Director Interview

      Feb 21, 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Thomson Reuters

      Interview

Spoke with HR for a screening, and was asked to speak with the hiring manager. A member of my immediate family passed away and I asked if I could postpone the interview for a week and a half. They said yes. I came back to them with my availability a week later, as I was busy with funeral arrangements. HR didn’t respond. I wrote again and they informed me the role was filled. There were three different HR people involved in the process which was also confusing. Job well done team.
