Received a HackerRank Assessment of around 20 multiple choice questions to be completed in 60 minutes. The questions were predominantly AI evaluation related and some general Software engineering questions as well.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Thomson Reuters (Edmonton, AB) in Aug 2025
Interview
I was given a hackerrank test. There were 3 parts. I'm pretty confident that I got all questions correct. But I heard nothing from them even after 40 days. The only thing that I could think of was that I copied paste the long-ass terminal output from a AI prompt question to my local text editor to see the diff, which could've triggered their cheating detector. The Hackerrank UI was terrible for AI prompt question.
