I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Oct 2019
Interview
I had an initial phone interview with recruiter for approximately 20-30 minutes to verify skillset was a match. Went onsite to meet with Director of Corporate Brand Communications and I have to say that it was a very pleasant interview. We connected well about our methodologies on product delivery and he further explained where the company was headed. He took me on a tour of the newly designed building that he contributed to. I have been to a lot of headquarters throughout the US - this was extremely impressive from a tech standpoint and I could see how it would inspire creatives instead of a dull office that feels like early 1990's. I wasn't aware of the digital transformation TI was apart of, so it was a very insightful meeting. I have lived in Dallas since 2004 (traveling often for consulting) and I never thought of TI from a creative perspective - more engineering.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Mainly my experience overall within product design, end-to-end delivery, management/leadership experience, how I engage with leading cross-functional teams. It was a very fluid conversation that easily led into us speaking more in depth about methodologies, different lifecycles of full end-to-end delivery, etc.
