I was first interviewed through the phone to be accepted into their summer leadership program. After the leadership program, each attendee is granted an automatic interview. for the internship. There were two 30 minute interviews and one 1 hour case interview. There was a combination of behavioral and financial/accounting questions.

Next level interview earlier, 30 minutes call but only took up 20 minutes. It was easy some technical questions and situational questions. I dont know if there’s a final interview or that is the final interview.

Interview
I'll start by giving kudos to Synchrony for posting real jobs that they intend to fill. This is actually anomalous in the current landscape (I suspect that 7 out of every 10 postings by Citi are fake).
That said, their process is amateur-ish. You have recruiters who specialize in ghosting and hiring managers that don't have a concrete sense for what they're looking for.
In one instance, I had a hiring manager start asking about very different skills that weren't even mentioned in the job description - from investor relations ish to SQL and SAS. It felt like the role was being constructed on the fly.
