A wreck. Worst interview experience ever. RUN FOR THE HILLS.
Recruiter sped through the conversation and it sounded like she was completely working off a script. Never took a breath or let me say a word. Applied for advancement coordinator position but was asked about interest in an executive assistant role. I said I was interested in the role I applied for. Fast forward to the next week and they wanted me to interview for the executive assistant role, despite my background making no suggestions that I would be a good fit for the role and my lack of interest when they previously asked me! Total bait and switch and terribly unprofessional to never follow up on the position I *actually* applied for.
I'm thankful I was able to cut short my interview process by declining the Executive Assistant role. In conversations with those I know who previously/currently work for Success Academy, SA has been described to me as "militant" with the office staff being treated even worse than the school-based staff. People described their mental health as suffering and said everyone is incredibly overworked.
Success Academy 100% preys on young, naive, and desperate new graduates. It seems incredibly easy to secure a job at Success Academy- which makes sense, given the insane turnover. But what kind of school hires fresh grads with no teaching experience to teach?? I feel bad for these employees, but shame on SA leadership.
