Right from the beginning, I knew something was off about this school. I was contacted by a recruiter, who wanted me to apply to the Associate Teacher instead of a regular Lead Teacher position because I did not have "classroom experience" even though I do. Also, it would be for a start date in October. It's almost like they were planning for a teachers to quit by that time, which makes sense because this school has a very high turnover rate. After that, I applied through a link she gave me and got a call back to set up for a "final interview." Before the interview, I had to read a poem and answer "what I thought this poem was about" in a short paragraph (ok, weird). Then I had to watch about 5 videos on classroom management that I was told would be talked about during the interview. I interviewed by a different recruiter who appeared to be the same age as me. I also thought that was weird. During the interview process, they did not ask me about any of my classroom experience and instead, only asked me personality questions. This tells me that they are looking for "yes" people and not people candidates who could actually contribute real knowledge. I also had to do a demo lesson where the recruiter gave me feedback (because recruiters are definitely qualified to do that). The last red flag would be the rejection email sent to me at midnight. All in all, this process was very unprofessional, and if you are looking to actually build a career as a teacher, I would not recommend applying to this school.

It was a series of two interviews. One was a group interviews while one was a one on one interview as well as a video that one had to record to answer additional questions
Group interview with behavioral and then also a sample of discipline. We were asked typical behavioral interview style questions like tell me about yourself, name a time you failed. It was kind of awkward because all interviewees would take turn answering. We were not given the opportunity to aak the interviewers any questions
