I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Success Academy Charter Schools (New York, NY) in Jun 2015
Interview
I gave a 10 minute demo and then was briefly interviewed afterwards by the director of chess, the principal of the school, and the HR coordinator. I thought the demo and interview went horribly so I didn't expect to hear back. Then a week before school was to start, they called and told me that I got the job and needed to move to New York immediately if I wanted it, and they had to know by the end of the day if I was accepting. I accepted, went to the teacher school, didn't find out what school I was going to be working at until a day or two before school was supposed to start. Then, on my first day, I was thrown into teaching right away. It was a very chaotic, tumultuous process.
