      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Stripe (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2020

      Interview

HR phone screen, interview with hiring manager, work sample project, then interview with team member. After being told I made it to next rounds, the recruiter at Stripe ghosted me and I was sent a form letter a month later with a rejection and an invite to rate their hiring process. Poor candidate experience. I don't recommend wasting your time with Stripe when there are so many better companies out there.

      Interview

The interview started off first with an introductory call with the hiring manager and HR, followed by a take home quantitative written assessment that tests specifics of the role. Following which was a case study interview and multiple rounds of culture fit interviews.

      Sales Strategy and Operation Interview

      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Stripe (Dublin, Dublin) in Jan 2020

      Interview

Applied online for Dublin location. The whole process took more than 1 month, which included 8 interviews and 1 written test. First stage: 15 min. chat over VC with the SF team. (discussion about role fit) Written test - given 1 week to submit answers 30 min. discussion over VC about the written test answers HR call to schedule onsite interview. Stage 2: (Onsite & VC) 4 back to back interviews of about 45 min. each with the Business Operations team, the sales ops team. 1 VC interview with sales ops head for 45 mins. 1 VC interview which involved working simultaneously on sheets Overall 6 interviews in a single day, which was very hectic. All the interviewers were nice & friendly and made interviews feel like a friendly discussion. HR called in after 1 week to gave feedback but after so many interviews the rejection truly hurts and demotivates you to apply again for the Stripe.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

About startups, defining a startup, targetting a startup etc.. What's Stripe customer segment, stripe business development strategy or GTM strategy. Risks of expanding into new markets? How to interpret when Patrick asks how are we doing with startups? What metrics would you consider? and many other questions which involve structural thinking. What would an account manager want to see in their sales dashboard on a daily basis? You hired an account manager to work on a new market, what do they need to know? How did you hear about Stripe? What made you want to join? (Repetitive question) An example: when the team didn’t agree to your idea - what did you do? When you were in ambiguity- what did you do? Who inspired you at your previous jobs? Did you have a mentor? Who were they? Also, API based exercise to check attention to detail- no coding experience required.
