I applied online. I interviewed at Splunk in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied via LinkedIn and received a response from a recruiter within a few days to set up a call. After speaking with the recruiter, I then scheduled a call with the hiring manager which was a great and informative call. I was told by the hiring manager I would proceed to the next round of interviews and that recruiting would reach out. A week and a half went by before I followed up where I received the response that I would be reached out to in the following week for next rounds. Next week came around, no response. Another follow up after waiting another week and a half and I received a response from a different recruiter than the initial one I spoke to that thanked me for my patience and that I would again receive a response on timeline of next rounds for interviews. I never received that response. After reading several of the most recent interview experiences, it's seeming that this "ghosting" from the recruiting team is happening incredibly frequently.
I hope that Splunk sees the frequency in which this is happening because even if a candidate does not move forward, there should be some type of correspondence relayed about status of role and to not keep the candidate's hopes up waiting for a response that was said to occur when it never happened. It is not a good look for the company.
