I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Spirit Airlines (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Jan 2017
Interview
I applied to Spirit on April 20th and was offered a video interview on May 20th. I completed it on May 26th and was offered a second Skype interview on June 8th but I was no longer interested in the position as I had accepted another position with another airline.
I went back on December 14th and reapplied and received an invitation on December 23rd for the January 10th F2F event. They do not provide transportation, lodging or meals for the event nor do they reimburse you, so make sure this is what you really want. The event lasted about 13 hours total.
I arrived at the hotel at 6:30 for the 7 am event and there was already a very long line. We were finally checked in and the event officially began at 8, with Spirit employees giving a presentation and explaining the details of the position. We were broken into 5 groups of about 80 people and we were asked to answer questions from a bowl one by one in front of the group and some spirit employees. After this, they made the first cut of about half of the small group.
The remaining candidates were sent back into the ballroom after lunch (not provided) and we were then called in groups of 5-10 to wait for individual F2F interviews. After the interviews we were sent to a decision room where we waited anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours to be told whether we were offered a position or not.
If they offered you a position, you were then sent to fill out paperwork, get fingerprinted and then drug tested, then you were allowed to leave after all the steps were completed. They say that you find out your base within 48 hours so we'll see!
Good luck!
Did a presentation. Moved onto a Group interview then 1 on 1. Then you wait in a room then call you in a group at a time to tell you got the job or not.

Interview
Hiring event with other hopeful candidates. Day filled with networking, interviewing and just showcasing your personality. There are informational sessions, Q&A sessions, 1-on-1 interviews. It's a full day, come prepared with water and snacks (flats for the ladies if you'll be wearing heels).
I applied over the website. They send out emails. You reply to the email with your availability. They sent me a link to a Zoom call. Asked me personality questions and then we set up another interview in Houston Texas.
