Hi Everyone, I recently attended an Interview at Soliton Technologies in the month of February , 2026 through my university Placement Drive. About this Company , it's a mid - sized Company with around 400 Employees with a History of around 25 years primarily Working on Semi-Conductor testing , Validation and the management of Data related to these testing and Validation results. * The Salary Package was around 8-10 LPA (Though mostly 8 only) , after the Internship period of 1 year with a stipend of 25k per month *.
The Interview Process went through as Follows:
->Round 1 -- Common Test for All (Duration 1hr) ( Irrespective of the branch - same for cs and circuit Branches) [ * Written Test - Non MCQ * ]:
* The Test had 10 questions from the Topics of :
1. Mesuration Problems & Mathematics ( Area , Volume , CSA , TSA , Concepts of Circles ( sectors , Segment etc..] , Integration and Differentiation ] [ 1 question ]
2. C programming ( recursion problems , Strings manipulation, Pointers (in depth - ( to variables , arrays , matrix (easy ones) ) ( 2 questions ).
3. Circuit problems ( Series and Parallel circuit Connections , Voltage , Current, ohms law , power , Energy Calculations -- Note : For this practice Complex circuit problems from Class 11 , Class 12 ) [ 3 questions ]
4. Operating Systems ( Refer to -- CPU Scheduling algorithms ( All of them like Round Robin ( asked for me with ) [Very Important] , Arrival Time , Waiting Time etc.. ] [ 1 problem ]
5. Computer Networks [ Refer to Propagation Time Problems ] [ 1 Problem ]
6. Logic Gates and Semiconductor ( Class 12 Problems ] - [ n , p Type problems {Basics} ] [ 2 Problems ]
*Important Tip : At the Least Try to Solve 4-5 Problems , They don't Look at your Answer , They look at the steps written down on your paper , So * neatly present it with explanations and Diagrams * -- This will get u through this round [ I solved 6 ].
->Round 2 -- Short Programming Round [ Only C programming Allowed ]
*This Round had 3 problems , After Solving the given Problem only you are allowed to move to next. [ Probelms asked : Next Palindrome , Circular array , Basic String Manipulation ] [ I solved 2 Problems ]
*Important Tip : Again Here Also you would be provided with a Sheet to work out which will be Collected , So neatly explain your thought process in the sheet and your approach and Dry runs of the questions*
->Round 3 & 4 {Technical & General HR Combined} -- Have a proper grasp of your Resume , In the Technical Round there may be two kinds of questions you have to answer : 1. Questions from resume ( such as about your Internship experience (Main] , your Projects [Main] , also have glance on your Tech stack and CS core Fundamentals ] 2. From the Round 1 of the process they may ask you to solve the questions which you didn't Solve in a Paper at the moment Itself
*Important Tip : Don't Panic , Take your time explain the thought process and solve the question*
-->Round 5{Long Programming - C Programming Only }: There were Totally 3 problems and the round generally goes for around 3 hours , Only after Solving the given problem you can move on to the next problem.
The questions asked for me were related to Longest Palindrome , LIS related problem etc.. . Here u cant start solving the problem as it is , first you have to explain your approach to your Mentor then if approved by them then you can start coding { Note : Practice well .. } { Here also you would be provided with a paper Neatly Present it with your thought process and approach }
*Important Tip: This is the round where things took a turn for me. Don't call the Mentor as soon as you figure out something try to do dry runs and first approve it yourself , then call them for review and also be aware of which mentor you want to call cause some of them maybe really "Short Tempered , Hot headed , non-observant ", if you call them once then throughout the round you are supposed to report to them only . So scan through all of the mentors and select which one you want to call and try to impress them with your approach. Here in the First question itself there was a test - case error which I reported to my Mentor { Short tempered and hot headed one } which he didn't admit to and made me go through the problem again and again and I wasn't able to move on to the next problem even after I identifying the solution and reporting the error in the question . Then at the last 10 mins he admitted that there is an error and asked me to move on , while others with good mentors did already move on like before an hour or two before itself .. } { Though none of them solved even one question , since they did move on to the next question and acted as if they knew how to solve the question by talking to their mentor , they moved on to the next and I was "ELIMINATED" here. }.
-->Round 6 & 7 [Design and Essay writing] : Even though I didn't attend this round it is said that it would be similar to the GD round where you would be given a real world problem and you are expected to derive a solution as a team and also in the essay writing it is pretty much a Cake Walk i guess.
*Note for the preparation : Use YouTube resources and class 10,11,12 physics and Maths {Basics}.
*Note Even though generally it is seen as a good mid sized Company as whole , there are certain cases where they are terminating the Candidates after the internship period , thus resulting in a situation where the Candidate has *No Offer or Job* [Be Aware].
*This is Specifically for the CS folks , The Tech stack of this Company for the full stack development role revolves around C# , .Net , Angular , Nodejs etc.. even though this may sound good mostly it is closely connected with Semi Conductor Test and Validation, you wont be developing anything like you would expect as a developer and The Most shocking thing for me at the least was that they don't use any Java ("NO JAVA") which is generally used for enterprise application development. But I do think there is some scope for AI here in this Company ( used to get insights from the Test and Validation Data ]. In a nutshell I would say it's a technology Company that is more Inclined towards the ECE , EEE Side ig.
Thus this is my Interview Experience , and all the best from my side if you are Interviewing for this Company.
