Had an initial phone screen with the hiring manager, then a formal Zoom interview with hiring manager, head of sales, and the CEO.
The initial phone screen was easy as the hiring manager was very friendly. The Zoom interview stood in stark contrast, with the hiring manager and head of sales going straight into tough questions and no fluff. That's what interviews are for, but it just felt funny to see the radical personality change from the first call to the second.
The other odd thing was that the CEO sat in on the call but had video turned off and never said a word, so it felt slightly awkward.
Since that Zoom call I have heard nothing from the Skopenow team, even after I followed up to inquire. If you can't take the time to tell candidates they aren't moving forward, I don't want to see how you treat employees when they need you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you communicate with clients if there were an issue with the service?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Skopenow in Sep 2021
Interview
Applied via LinkedIn. Although I didn't have as many years of experience in the application, I still got a meeting. Had a Zoom call with team leader. Talked about previous work experience and workplace behaviors. Did not get a second round interview.
