Interview
Poor communication led to a confusing hiring process for both myself and the interviewer. I was initially offered a phone interview which then changed to an online interview 5 minutes before the scheduled phone call. Very confusing.

I applied online. I interviewed at Signature Science (Austin, TX) in Sep 2022
Interview
Interview process began with a straightforward short phone interview where I was asked general questions about my experience as well as what I was looking for in a job. Then I was given a challenge problem by email, with about 4-5 days to complete it. The challenge was about how you would solve a certain problem. It required analytical and creative problem solving skills, some knowledge of the industry and research skills. Then, the in person interview lasted 4-5 hours. I spoke to HR as well as most of the employees on the team that I would be joining. I was also asked to give a prepare and give a presentation on a topic of my choice.

Interview
The whole process from initial interview to follow up took 2 weeks and was all performed online. The initial interview was casual talking about the role and what you're interested in. The second interview lasting ~4hrs, was meeting with ~10 people ranging from top managers to co-workers in the department. Everyone was polite and asked questions about: 1. Scope of work you do. 2. What do you consider your weaknesses are. Also had to present on a project that I worked on, of my choice. Overall, the process was positive and the top managers were considerate and amicable.
