The process started positively — 2 weeks after the screening call I had a final (and only) interview with two senior leaders, which went well. I followed up a week later and was told the recruiter was on vacation and someone would get back to me. After that, I never heard back until three weeks later, when I received an automated rejection email.
I understand not every candidate moves forward, but ghosting after a final interview feels disrespectful of the time and effort candidates put in. A simple update or closure note from the hiring team would have gone a long way in showing professionalism and courtesy.
