      Pros

      - competitive pay structure - great benefits - awesome employees - lots of growth opportunities (you will be challenged in a good way)

      Cons

      - more people prioritization by increasing people leadership training, strengthening culture/values, and continuing to creatively find ways to increase work/life/balance (no company is without opportunity!)

One star company because it is not possible to give zero

      Pros

Nice view from the office and people (other than management) are good quality, and feel like family - which is good, because if you work at Seaspan Corp (200 Granville), you will never see your own family.

      Cons

Sweatshop, pointless and endless meetings. Meetings about meetings, run by politics and friendships, not common sense. Less than zero respect for employees or employees families. Work expected every weekend and 24 hours a day for no recognition.

      Pros

      None … Worst experience ever

      Cons

      - No work life balance - No overtime pay - Below market pay ... They pay more to their favorites - Biased management - Endless meetings - In the name of transformation, they reduce the headcount - High transition with no good hires. Most of the work is absorbed by the current team - Hiring strategy : Whoever shows up for the interview - No appreciation - Toxic culture and environment - You'll lose your mental peace and happiness - Avoid accounting team - HR is least bothered and ignores the current situation - Don't expect any promotion ... Absolutely no career progress unless you are management's favorite

      Horrible Place

Jul 27, 2021 - Financial Analyst in Vancouver, BC

      Business Outlook

      Pros

It used to be good, still has some of that reputation until it finally will fade away

      Cons

New leaders have ruined the culture and harmony. Bleeding out talent but HR does not care anything except their bonus goals. Longer hours, below-market compensation. Company outlook for professionals has changed from reputable to low-baller. Favouritism brought in friends & families with substandard skills and abilities. No one cares about the company, it's about what they can gain individually. CEO is clueless about what's going on in Vancouver and this is being exploited. HR communication typically lacks honesty and transparency, because they benefit from aligning with the management against employees. Employees do not trust the management and HR on valid, tangible reasons. Everyone tries to make the most of the next few years. It is inevitable that huge problems will eventually come to the surface and they will go away to avoid facing the mess they have been creating for a while.

      More like a prison courtyard...

      Pros

One of the better paying jobs in the left in City of Vancouver area. If you can hold out and make it up the seniority list it seems like you don't have to work much because the union will protect you and there's lots of places to hide if you don't like work. You're working near the water. Everyone thinks the place and management is a joke so you have something in common with everyone there.

      Cons

If there is one thing that will get you right away it's parking. I've seen more accidents than ever just in that parking lot because of the gridlock. You'll think the place is great and everyone will laugh at you because you're just new to it all. Eventually you end up hating it there and how poorly run it is. They play games with the seniority list too. You just keep trying to make it up the list so you don't have to worry about one day coming in and getting laid off. But if you want a retirement job it's great if you can handle the stairs to everything.
