I applied in August 2017 and did not get an email requesting a phone interview from the Hiring Manager until December. That interview was pretty quick and casual, about 10 minutes. I was told I would hear back within the week. About a week later, I received an email from the Chief Scribe of a hospital nearby. She wanted a last minute phone call with me, which I accepted. The call was about 2 hours after the email, and she offered an interview the next day. It was all very sudden, but I accepted as she said she was in a rush to find someone. I prepared as much as I could with the medical terminology, but did not end up being asked any of it in the interview. The interview was on a weekend in a coffee shop like most others. It was supposed to be casual, but I did not like how loud and busy the store was as I had trouble hearing her fully. There was no typing test either as she merely wanted to get to know me. It lasted about 35 minutes, and I thought we both got along very well. I was told a week later I did not get the position because of scheduling reasons when she specifically told me in the interview that I shouldn't worry about that. Overall, I was disappointed in this experience as I had a good time with the Hiring Manager, but bad time with the Chief Scribe. I also do not understand why the in-person interview isn't in a more professional environment, as I feel this job should be taken more seriously from the get-go.

The interview is taken on a recording where you can record multiple attempts. Questions were pretty straight forward. Dress professionally, make eye contact with the camera, talk clearly and you should be fine
